Sydney Opera House
There are many ways to get around Sydney. The problem is that all the public transport in this city, like buses, trains, the metro rail and ferries, are very expensive. But don’t worry, if you purchase the “Opal card” or use a contactless credit card, this would no longer be a problem for you. You can use trains or ferries to get to the Sydney Opera House. You just need to plan your route, and for that you can use “Trip Planner”
When you finally make it to the Sydney Opera House either by train or ferry, you’ll need to purchase tickets to get in. For example, if a family of five wants to go in, they would have to purchase arround 48$ for an adult and 28$ for a child, and that only if you pre-book it. Just to get in would be 180$! To save some money you could pre-book the family ticket which is 124$.
The Sydney Opera House was designed by a Danish architect called Jørn Utzon. This site opened its doors for the first time in 1973, and when it did a new era of cultural discovery began. Five decades later, the Sydney Opera House is the most visited site in the country.
The Sydney Opera House was included in the UNESCO
World Heritage List on the 29th of June 2007, in recognition of its outstanding architectural and cultural significance.
Finally, if you have a membership of the Sydney Opera House you’ll be able to save some money on things like tickets, food, tours, and the gift shop. The only thing that a membership does not pay is less for parking.
